How to Get to Batticaloa from Colombo

A Train Ride to Batticaloa

You could take the train from Colombo fort to Batticaloa on a daily basis, the train stops in Valaichchenai. Trains are available one trip in the morning and evening from Colombo. A Bus Ride to Batticaloa

From Colombo Pettah Kolikadai Manning market you could hop into a luxury AC bus (route 48 – 14) which goes to Kattankudy and from there, you could take a taxi or a tuktuk to Batticaloa which will cost you around depending on where your accommodation is.
