Located within the premises of the Galle Fort, the dutch reformed church was built by the Dutch back in 1755 and is one of the oldest protestant churches used in the country. HOW TO GET TO GALLE/UNAWATUNA FROM COLOMBO

 

How to get to Galle from Colombo by train

You could take the train from Colombo Fort to Galle, from Sunday to Monday and trains are available several times a day. The journey would last for 3 hours 10 minutes to Galle and would cost you around Rs 150 to Rs 250 for second-class (which will most of the time guarantee you a seat).

How to get to Galle from Colombo by bus

From Colombo Bastian Mawatha Bus terminal you could hop into a bus directly to Galle (route 2 – 1 ). Would cost around Rs 155 – Rs. 200, and take around 2 hours 30 minutes.

How to get to Galle from Colombo by taxi

You can also arrange a private vehicle and driver to take you via a rental car or use one of the apps named Uber or Pick me (Sri Lankan app). This is the fastest but most expensive way to travel. It will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from Colombo to Galle. The ride would cost you around Rs 11,000 – Rs 13,000.
