HOW TO GET TO ELLA FROM COLOMBO
How to get to Ella from Colombo by train
From Colombo Train Station take the Badulla train and get off at the Ella station. The view is just breathtaking. It will cost you Rs650 for the first class tickets (which will guarantee you a seat).
How to get to Ella from Colombo by bus
Take the bus from Colombo Fort Station. Get down from Kumbalwela junction. From the Kumbalwela junction to Ella it’s about 5Km, you could take a tuktuk from there which will cost you less than Rs500.
How to get to Ella from Colombo by taxi
You can hire a taxi from Colombo to Ella, which is the fastest option but expensive. It will cost you around Rs19000.
